Cost per round is the stake multiplied by the edge. Cost per hour multiplies that by the game’s round speed. The stake ladder repeats the per-session figure at six stake levels so you can see the bill for the stake you actually play rather than the one you typed. Speed is the input most players ignore. A low edge on a slow game and a high edge on a fast one can be a twenty-fold difference in cost per hour at the same stake.

📊 The maths behind it
Expected cost per round = stake × edge. Expected cost per hour = stake × edge × rounds per hour. Expected cost per session = cost per hour × hours. There is nothing else in it. The cost of a session is a straight line in the stake, which is what the ladder shows.
Worked example: Aviator, €/$2 stake, two hours. Cost per round is €/$2 × 0.03 = €/$0.06. Cost per hour is €/$0.06 × 150 = €/$9.00. Cost per session is €/$18.00. The same session at every preset:
🎯 What it cannot tell you
The round counts assume you bet every round. Sit out half of them and the cost halves; run two simultaneous bets in Aviator or JetX and it doubles. The expected cost is also not the cost of any single session. A two-hour Aviator session at €/$2 has an expected cost of €/$18 and a one-standard-deviation band from about a €/$53 loss to a €/$17 gain, which the bankroll simulator lays out player by player.
Two presets need care. JetX and Spaceman are operator-configurable, so the edge you pay depends on where you play, and the game’s info panel is the only reliable source. Cash or Crash’s 0.41% assumes correct use of the gold ball and shield; a player who takes the base ladder alone pays more per step, as the ladder calculator shows.
The bottom line: Decide the stake from the per-session figure, not from what the game suggests. If €/$18 for two hours of Aviator is a fair price for the entertainment, play at €/$2. Why is Cash or Crash so much cheaper per hour?
Two reasons stack. Its edge is 0.41% against Aviator’s 3%, and it is a live game with a physical ball machine that runs roughly 50 rounds an hour against Aviator’s 150. Together that is about a twenty-fold difference in expected cost at the same stake. The 0.41% does assume the shield and gold ball are used well.
Does a bigger stake change the edge?
No. The edge is a percentage of whatever you stake, so a €/$20 stake costs exactly ten times a €/$2 stake in expectation. That is why the ladder is a straight line. Bigger stakes change the size of the swings, not the rate at which the game takes its cut.
What if I place two bets at once in Aviator?
Count the total staked per round. Two €/$1 bets cost the same as one €/$2 bet in expectation, whatever targets you set on each. Enter the combined stake, or double the per-hour figure the tool gives for a single bet.
Is the expected cost what I will actually lose?
No. It is the average over a very large number of sessions like yours. One session can finish well above or well below it, and over two hours the spread is several times the expected figure. Over months of play the running total moves towards the expected cost.
