The cards summarise the mode. The coin-flip step is the first row where cumulative survival drops below 50%: step 13 on Easy, step 5 on Medium, step 3 on Hard and step 2 on Hardcore. The max multiplier is the payout for clearing every safe position, the chance to clear is its inverse scaled by the RTP, and the cash cap card marks the row where the multiplier at your stake would exceed the roughly €/$20,000 limit.

Difficulty is a volatility dial, not a value dial. All four modes at 98% RTP hand the house the same 2 cents per euro or dollar staked. What changes is how fast the survival column falls: on Easy it takes 13 steps to reach a coin flip, on Hardcore it takes 2. The per-step danger also rises as you go, because safe positions get used up and hazards do not.

With m hazards among 25 positions, the k-th step is safe with probability (25 – m – (k – 1))/(25 – (k – 1)). Cumulative survival is the product of those fractions, and the multiplier is the RTP divided by cumulative survival. Clearing the mode pays RTP × (25 choose m), which is 24.5x, 2,254x, 52,067x and 3,203,385x at 98%, and the chance of doing so is 1 in 25, 1 in 2,300, 1 in 53,130 and 1 in 3,268,760.
Worked example, Hardcore (10 hazards), first five steps:
The cash cap bites well before the top. At a €/$1 stake, Hardcore step 12 pays 11,201x and step 13 pays 48,536x, so everything from step 13 onwards is capped at about €/$20,000. At €/$10 the cap lands at step 11, where 3,200x would be €/$32,000. The 3,203,385x figure is not reachable at any stake the game accepts.

It cannot tell you where the hazards are. The cash cap is reported as about €/$20,000 and some operators set it lower, so treat that card as a ceiling, not a promise.
The Chicken Road 2 switch changes the RTP only. The sequel uses different lane counts per mode, so its rows here are the correct price comparison against the original but not the sequel’s exact paytable. Why does the per-step danger increase?
Because each safe step removes a safe position from the road and leaves every hazard in place. On Hardcore the first step is 15 safe out of 25, the second is 14 out of 24, and the last is 1 safe out of 11. The share of hazards among what is left rises every step.
Can I really win 3.2 million times my stake?
No. The multiplier exists in the paytable but the cash cap is reported as about €/$20,000 per round. At a €/$1 stake the cap is reached around step 13 of Hardcore, at 20,000x. Everything above that on the table is display, not payout.
Does Chicken Road 2 change the odds?
It changes the price. The safe-chance and survival columns depend on the hazard count, not the RTP. Chicken Road 2 multiplies survival by 0.955 instead of 0.98, so every multiplier is about 2.5% smaller for the same risk. It also has different lane counts, which this tool does not model.
