Aviator is the better pick for most players, because the maths is the same in both games. Both pay back 97% by default and use the same fairness checks. Aviator is at about 5,000 casinos, with the busiest chat and the strongest licences. Pick Aviatrix if you want a plane to upgrade, levels and small daily tournaments.

The 30-second version

Aviator and Aviatrix share the same 97% default RTP, the same three-seed provably fair model and the same dual-bet format, so neither offers a mathematical edge over the other. Aviator is the pick for most players: roughly 5,000 operators, the biggest live community in the genre and the strongest licensing record. Aviatrix is the pick if you want progression: a customisable plane, XP levels and small-field daily tournaments.

🏆 Verdict: which one should you play

Play Aviator if you want the genre’s original at full strength: the widest availability, the busiest chat with the most frequent Rain drops, higher operator stake ceilings for bigger bets, and the most heavily regulated provider in crash. It is the default answer, and for most players the right one.

Play Aviatrix if the round itself is not enough and you want something to build: a plane of your own, levels to climb, and daily tournaments small enough that placing is realistic. Go in knowing the planes carry no market value, the marketplace has not shipped, and stake ceilings are often low for high rollers. For where both titles sit in the wider field, our guide to choosing a crash game ranks them against everything else we cover.

💡 Key insight

The house collects the same cut whichever plane you board, so the maths cancels out of this decision entirely. Every real difference lives outside the round, which is exactly why the right answer depends on what you want from a session, not on the numbers.

⚡ Where the two games are identical

On the spec sheet that actually costs you money, these games are the same product. Both run a 97% default return, both offer two independent bets per round, both support auto-cashout with stop limits, and both resolve a round in roughly five to fifteen seconds including the betting window. At equal stakes, the expected cost of an hour on one is the expected cost of an hour on the other.

The fairness model is genuinely shared too, and it is the strongest in the genre. Each round is sealed before betting opens by hashing one server seed with the client seeds of the first three players to bet, under SHA-512. Neither the operator nor any single player can steer the result, and every round can be checked after the fact. The verification routine is identical for both games, and we walk through it step by step in our guide to verifying provably fair results.

The one wrinkle in the parity is who controls the return. Spribe fixes Aviator at 97% everywhere: the casino cannot dial it down. Aviatrix ships at 97% by default but lets the operator configure it, and one third-party tracker has recorded live settings from 96.7% up to 98.8%. That makes Aviator’s number a guarantee and Aviatrix’s a default, so on Aviatrix, check the in-game info panel before you play.

📊 The win ceiling question

Aviatrix advertises a clear 10,000x maximum multiplier, while Aviator’s ceiling is less clear. For Aviatrix, the operator then caps the cash payout, commonly near EUR 10,000. Spribe’s marketing for Aviator cites multipliers up to 1,000,000x. But on both games the real limit on your win is the operator’s cash cap, not the multiplier. Two huge multipliers on paper can pay exactly the same four figure sum in practice.

🔍 Worth noting

You will find comparison pages claiming Aviator is “capped at 100x” and that Aviatrix’s ceiling is therefore a hundred times higher. That claim traces back to competitor marketing, not to Spribe’s rules. Aviator is not hard-capped at a low multiplier: the real limit on both games is the operator’s maximum cash payout, which is why our verdict on this row is a draw.

⚙️ Metagame versus promo layer

Aviatrix builds a progression system into the game, while Spribe keeps Aviator plain and puts its extras in the chat. In Aviatrix you build a plane tied to your account and earn 1 XP for every EUR 1 wagered. Aviator instead offers Rain free bets in the chat and Aviarace tournaments. The Aviatrix planes are cosmetic and do not change the odds. Here is what each game gives you.

✈️ Aviator’s promo layer

Rain drops free bets into the live chat as clickable claims, usually requiring a real-money bet in the previous half hour. Aviarace runs points-based leaderboard tournaments, and a Missions and Challenges layer sits on top in many markets. Nothing is customisable and nothing persists: the appeal is a busy, live room, not a collection.

⚙️ Aviatrix’s metagame

The Build feature lets you customise a plane that stays bound to your account, earning 1 XP for every EUR 1 wagered. Levels unlock new plane models, and an eligible plane enters you into daily tournaments with prize pools from around $1,000, plus seasonal events the studio promotes at million-euro scale. The long-trailed marketplace for trading planes remains under construction as of mid-2026.

Two honesty checks belong next to that second card. First, the planes are purely cosmetic: a fully customised aircraft has exactly the same odds as the default one, and the studio has confirmed as much. Second, the XP system pays you for volume, not results. The bar fills whether you win or lose, which makes it a retention mechanic attached to a negative-expectation game, and it deserves a clear-eyed look before you let it set your pace.

A progress bar that fills regardless of outcome is built to keep you wagering, and that pattern has consequences worth understanding. We cover the research evidence, the risk factors and what regulators are doing in a dedicated guide: crash gambling and player harm.

📈 The scale gap

The size difference between these games is not a detail, it is one to two orders of magnitude. Spribe reports 77 million monthly active players, around 400,000 bets per minute and EUR 160 billion in total play volume across 2025, distributed through roughly 5,000 operators. Aviatrix’s studio reports 170,000+ daily players and about 265 million monthly bets across a footprint of around 118 casinos. Both sets of numbers come from the companies themselves, so treat them as marketing claims, but even heavily discounted the gap is enormous.

📝 For the record: the two audience figures are not the same metric. Aviator’s is monthly actives, Aviatrix’s is daily actives, and both are vendor-reported. Any neat multiplier you see comparing the two head-on is comparing apples with oranges.

What does the gap mean in play? On Aviator, the chat is dense at all hours, Rain drops land often, and the social feed feels genuinely live. The cost is that Aviarace fields are huge and hard to place in. On Aviatrix, the room is quieter, but the small fields cut the other way: the studio’s own marketing claims an eligible plane has roughly a 25% chance of winning a daily tournament. Take that advertised figure with appropriate scepticism, but the underlying point stands, because smaller fields mean better per-player odds of cashing a tournament prize.

“You are not choosing between two games. You are choosing between a crowd and a collection.”

🛡️ Licensing and trust

Aviator’s regulatory standing is materially stronger, and it is not close. Spribe is licensed or certified across more than 20 jurisdictions including the UK, Malta, Gibraltar, the Netherlands, Sweden and Ontario. The UK record carries one asterisk: the Gambling Commission suspended Spribe’s software licence on 30 October 2025 over a hosting-authorisation gap, a procedural compliance issue rather than any allegation of rigged gameplay, and lifted the suspension on 30 March 2026. Even after reinstatement, Aviator was not yet live with UK-licensed operators pending final technical compliance. Separately, Spribe is contesting a USD 330 million Georgian court ruling in a long-running dispute over the Aviator brand, and in 2025 won a UK injunction blocking the claimant from launching a competing game. Neither matter touches how the game pays.

Aviatrix, developed from Limassol in Cyprus under Kiverly Ltd, is licensed or certified across roughly 15 jurisdictions including Romania, Italy, Sweden, Ontario and Brazil, with the USA in progress. It describes itself as MGA-certified, though the licence number is not publicly verifiable, and it holds no UKGC licence at all, so it is simply not an option for UK players. That is a respectable and growing footprint for a young single-product studio, but it is the thinner of the two records, and the absence from regulated UK shelves is the clearest practical difference.

❓ Frequently asked questions

Is Aviatrix better than Aviator?

Neither is mathematically better: both run a 97% default return on the same provably fair model. Aviator wins on availability, community size and licensing; Aviatrix wins on customisation, progression and winnable tournament fields. For most players Aviator is the stronger all-round pick.

Do Aviator and Aviatrix have the same RTP?

Both default to 97%, but with one difference: Spribe fixes Aviator’s figure at every casino, while Aviatrix’s is operator-configurable, with live settings recorded between 96.7% and 98.8%. On Aviatrix, always check the in-game info panel for the figure your casino actually runs.

Are Aviatrix NFT planes worth anything?

Not in money. The planes are account-bound, purely cosmetic and have no effect on the odds, and the marketplace that would let you trade them remains under construction as of mid-2026. Their only tangible benefit is tournament eligibility.

Which game is provably fair?

Both are, and on the same architecture: one server seed combined with the client seeds of the first three bettors, sealed before the round under SHA-512. The verification steps are identical for the two games.

Which has the higher max win?

On paper Aviatrix advertises a clean 10,000x while Aviator’s marketing cites multipliers up to 1,000,000x. In practice the operator’s cash payout cap decides what either game can actually pay you, so neither reliably pays more than the other.
