High Flyer Crash Game: Full Guide to RTP, Dual Bet and Max Win

High Flyer is Pragmatic Play’s third crash game: a vintage biplane climbs through a dark sky while a multiplier rises, and your only job is to cash out before it crashes. It runs a 97% RTP, two independent bet spots and the fastest rounds of any major crash title, at roughly five seconds each.

It arrived in September 2024 as the newest entry in Pragmatic’s crash range, and it is the studio’s best-returning crash title to date. On the headline numbers it goes toe to toe with the genre leader, Aviator. On one number that defines trust in this format, per-round verifiable fairness, it does not.

The 30-second version

High Flyer is a 97% RTP crash game from Pragmatic Play with two independent bet spots and roughly five-second rounds. It markets a 1,000,000x maximum multiplier, but a 250,000 EURO win cap means the full figure only pays on stakes of 0.25 EURO or less. Unlike Aviator, it is not provably fair: it uses certified RNG, so you cannot verify individual rounds yourself.

🏢 Who makes High Flyer

High Flyer is built by Pragmatic Play, one of the largest content studios in online gambling. Founded in 2015 and operating out of Gibraltar and Malta, Pragmatic supplies games to more than 2,000 licensed casino partners and ships new titles at a relentless pace.

High Flyer is the studio’s third crash game, following Spaceman in 2022 and Big Bass Crash in 2023. Where those two carry single-bet layouts, High Flyer adopts the dual-bet template that Aviator made standard, and it returns more to players than either predecessor. For the wider studio story and its full crash range, see our Pragmatic Play provider profile.

⚡ How a round works

A round is short and identical every time: you stake, the plane climbs, you cash out, and at a randomly determined point the plane flies off and the round ends. The whole loop takes roughly five seconds between flights, which is the fastest cadence of any major crash title.

1

Place your bets

Before the plane takes off, set one or both of the two bet spots. Each spot takes its own stake and its own auto-cashout target, so they can run different strategies in the same round.

2

The plane climbs

The multiplier starts at 1.00x and rises in real time. The longer it stays in the air, the higher your potential return, and the closer you are to losing the stake.

3

Cash out

Tap to collect at the current multiplier, or let the auto-cashout fire at your preset target. There is no partial 50% cashout here, that feature is exclusive to Spaceman.

4

The plane flies off

At a random point the round ends. Any bet not yet cashed out is lost. A new round opens almost immediately.

📊 RTP and house edge

High Flyer returns 97% to players over the long run, which leaves a 3% house edge. Pragmatic’s official game page lists 97.00%, and every deployment we have observed runs at that figure, so treat it as 97% across all observed casinos rather than a number you need to second-guess.

The 3% edge is built into the crash point itself. At that return rate the game crashes instantly at 1.00x roughly once in every 33 rounds, and that small instant-crash chance is the mechanism that pays for the house margin. No cash-out target removes it. The chance of the plane reaching any multiplier m is simply the RTP divided by m.

Cash-out target Chance of reaching it Expected return per 1 unit
1.5x 64.7% 0.97
2x 48.5% 0.97
5x 19.4% 0.97
10x 9.7% 0.97
100x 0.97% 0.97

The bottom line: the expected return is 0.97 per unit staked at every target. A higher cash-out target trades a smaller chance of winning for a larger payout, but it never changes the 3% you lose on average. For the full derivation of why no target beats the edge, see the maths of crash gambling.

🔢 The 1,000,000x ceiling and the 250,000 EURO cap

High Flyer markets a 1,000,000x maximum multiplier, the highest headline ceiling of any major crash game. The catch is a hard monetary cap: a single win is limited to 250,000 EURO regardless of the multiplier shown. That cap quietly rewrites what the headline means at every stake above the smallest.

The full 1,000,000x only pays out at a stake of 0.25 EURO or less, where one million times your bet still lands at or under the cap. Raise the stake and the effective ceiling falls in proportion.

Your stake Effective multiplier ceiling Capped payout
0.25 EURO 1,000,000x 250,000 EURO
1 EURO 250,000x 250,000 EURO
10 EURO 25,000x 250,000 EURO
100 EURO 2,500x 250,000 EURO

“The million-x is genuine. It is also unreachable at any stake you would actually place.”

🔍 Worth noting

The 250,000 EURO cap, the 0.10 to 100 EURO bet range and the 100x auto-cashout ceiling come from operator listings, not from Pragmatic’s own product page. They can vary by deployment, so check the in-game info panel at your casino before you rely on any of them.

⚙️ Features

High Flyer keeps the feature set lean and familiar. There are no bonus rounds or symbols, just two bet spots, automation tools and a social layer borrowed from the genre’s conventions.

  • Two independent bet spots. Each takes its own stake and auto-cashout target, so you can run a safety bet alongside a higher target. This is the foundation of the cross-game approach we cover in dual bet strategy.
  • Autoplay and auto-cashout. Autoplay runs 5, 10, 25, 50 or 100 consecutive rounds, with an auto-cashout target reportedly capped at 100x.
  • Social layer. Optional in-game chat, a leaderboard of the biggest bets and their wins, and an advanced stats panel showing the multiplier breakdown from the last 500 rounds.
  • No 50% cashout. The partial cashout that Spaceman pioneered is not present here. High Flyer offers manual and standard auto-cashout only.

The defining feature is pace. At roughly five seconds a round, autoplay at full tilt can cycle around 720 rounds an hour, far more than the genre standard. More rounds per hour means the 3% edge is applied more often, so the same stake drains a bankroll faster here than on a slower game at the identical RTP.

Fast rounds and autoplay are part of what makes crash games hard to put down, and the speed is directly tied to how quickly losses can mount. We cover the research evidence, the risk factors and what regulators are doing in a dedicated guide: crash gambling and player harm.

🛡️ Fairness: certified, not provably fair

High Flyer is fair but not provably fair, and the distinction matters. It uses certified RNG audited by independent labs such as GLI and BMM Testlabs under Pragmatic’s MGA and UKGC licences. That gives you institutional assurance that the game behaves as advertised, checked by a third party.

What it does not give you is per-round verification. Aviator, by contrast, runs a genuine per-round provably fair system where you can re-hash any individual result and confirm it for yourself. High Flyer offers no such tool. You are trusting the audit, not checking the round. For what provably fair means and why it changes the trust model, see our provably fair explainer.

📝 For the record: a small number of affiliate pages claim High Flyer ships a server-hash verification tool. That claim is uncorroborated and contradicted by more rigorous sources. The accurate position is certified RNG with no per-round cryptographic verification.

🏆 How High Flyer sits in Pragmatic’s crash range

High Flyer is the value correction in Pragmatic’s crash line-up. Spaceman launched at 96.5% and has eroded to 95.50% in many deployments, and Big Bass Crash is fixed at 95.50%, the lowest return of the three. High Flyer restores the return rate, adds dual betting and runs faster than either.

Title RTP Max multiplier Win cap Bets 50% cashout
Spaceman (2022) 96.5% at launch, now widely 95.50% 5,000x 500,000 EURO Single Yes
Big Bass Crash (2023) 95.50% 5,000x 500,000 EURO Single Yes
High Flyer (2024) 97% 🏆 1,000,000x 250,000 EURO Dual No

One nuance cuts the other way. High Flyer returns the most, but its win cap is the lowest of the three at 250,000 EURO against 500,000 EURO on the older titles. At high stakes the older games can pay a larger absolute amount, even though their return rate is worse. For the head-to-head between the two predecessors, see Spaceman vs Big Bass Crash.

💡 Common mistakes

Most High Flyer errors come from taking the marketing at face value. The headline number, the speed and the social feed all nudge play in directions the maths does not support.

  • Chasing the 1,000,000x at real stakes. At anything above 0.25 EURO the cap bites, so the headline figure is unreachable. Size the bet for the cap, not the marketing.
  • Treating speed as harmless. Five-second rounds feel exciting but apply the edge three times as often as a slower game. Set a round count or a time limit before you start.
  • Reading the last-500 stats as a pattern. Past multipliers are independent of the next round. The history strip is a record, not a forecast.
  • Assuming the second bet adds safety. Two bets are two separate 3% wagers. The safety spot does not subsidise the high target, it just splits the same edge.

⚠️ Scam alert: any app, bot or Telegram group claiming to predict High Flyer crash points is a scam. The game is driven by certified RNG, and the outcome is not knowable in advance by anyone, including the operator.

❓ Frequently asked questions

What is the RTP of High Flyer?

High Flyer runs a 97% RTP, leaving a 3% house edge. Pragmatic’s official game page lists 97.00%, and we have not observed any casino running a lower setting, so treat it as 97% across all deployments.

Is High Flyer provably fair?

No. High Flyer uses certified RNG audited by independent labs under Pragmatic’s licences. It is fair and tested, but there is no per-round cryptographic verification you can run yourself, unlike Aviator.

What is the maximum win on High Flyer?

The multiplier reaches 1,000,000x, but a single win is capped at 250,000 EURO. The full multiplier only pays at stakes of 0.25 EURO or less. At 1 EURO the effective ceiling is 250,000x, and at 100 EURO it is 2,500x.

Does High Flyer have dual bet?

Yes. High Flyer has two independent bet spots, each with its own stake and auto-cashout target. It does not have the 50% partial cashout, which is exclusive to Spaceman.

Is High Flyer better than Spaceman?

On return rate, yes. High Flyer pays 97% against Spaceman’s 95.50% in most current deployments, and it adds dual betting and faster rounds. Spaceman keeps the 50% cashout feature and a higher win cap of 500,000 EURO, so the older title can pay more in absolute terms at high stakes.
