Aviator goes missing for different reasons in different countries, and none of them is a ruling that the game is unfair. The UK suspended Spribe’s licence over hosting. Sweden fined Spribe over unlicensed sites. Brazilian prosecutors are investigating Spribe, and India bans all real-money games.

The 30-second version

UK: the Gambling Commission suspended Spribe’s licence from 30 October 2025 to 30 March 2026 because Spribe hosted games without a host licence, and Next.io reported on 2 April 2026 that Aviator was still not live with UK operators. Sweden: Spelinspektionen gave Spribe a warning and a 5,000 kronor fine for games that reached unlicensed sites, reported on 4 March 2026. Brazil: the Federal District prosecutors (MPDFT) opened a civil inquiry into Spribe in June 2026, and a Brasília court later ordered Spribe to block Aviator on illegal sites. India: real-money Aviator is banned under a law in force since 1 May 2026. The trademark fight with Aviator LLC is about the name, not about these gaps.

🇬🇧 The UK suspended Spribe’s licence for five months over a missing host licence

Aviator vanished from UK casinos because the UK Gambling Commission suspended Spribe’s licence on 30 October 2025. The Commission cited “serious non-compliance with the hosting requirements of our licensing framework”. Spribe ran Aviator on its own servers, which needs a separate host licence that it did not hold. The suspension was lifted on 30 March 2026. Next.io reported on 2 April 2026 that Aviator was still not live with UK-licensed operators.

The problem was paperwork, not maths. Spribe held a software licence. It did not hold the host licence that a studio needs when it runs the game on its own servers for casinos. The Commission’s reason says nothing about Aviator’s 97% RTP or its fairness system.

On 12 June 2026, law firm CMS reported that the Commission had also given Spribe a formal warning under section 117(1)(a) of the Gambling Act 2005. The warning covers the period from 28 May 2021 to 30 October 2025, when Spribe was hosting games without the right licence.

🇸🇪 Sweden fined Spribe 5,000 kronor because its games reached unlicensed sites

Sweden’s gambling regulator, Spelinspektionen, gave Spribe a warning and a fine of 5,000 Swedish kronor (about 466 euros) because Spribe’s games were found on sites with no Swedish licence. Next.io reported the decision on 4 March 2026. The regulator said Spribe broke Chapter 11, Section 6e of the Swedish Gambling Act by not making sure its games stayed off unlicensed sites. The fine was cut because Spribe used geoblocking and removed the games quickly.

The fine was small because it is tied to Spribe’s Swedish turnover, which Next.io put at 76,101 kronor for 2024. It was a warning and a fine. It was not a licence suspension.

Spribe told the regulator the problem had “already been corrected” and that it no longer supplies unlicensed operators. Spribe also said some games on one site were unauthorised copies of its games, which it called intellectual property theft. Source: Next.io, 4 March 2026.

🇧🇷 Brazilian prosecutors are investigating Spribe, and a court ordered Aviator blocked on illegal sites

In June 2026 the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Federal District and Territories (MPDFT) opened a civil inquiry into Spribe over Aviator in Brazil. Yogonet reported on 10 June 2026 that the inquiry looks at whether Aviator was supplied to operators without a licence from Brazil’s Secretariat of Prizes and Bets (SPA), and at gaps between the RTP Aviator advertises and the RTP on illegal sites. Prosecutors recommended that the SPA suspend the technical certification of Spribe’s games until Spribe proves it has stopped.

These are the prosecutors’ concerns. They are not findings of guilt. What has happened in court so far:

September 2026The 7th Civil Court of Brasília orders Spribe to block Aviator on unlicensed sites within 10 days, with a daily fine of R$100,000 if it does notYogonet, 16 September 2026

The September order is about illegal sites only. It does not ban Aviator on licensed Brazilian betting sites. The prosecutors’ civil action also asks for R$110 million in collective damages. That claim has not been decided.

📝 For the record: The trade reports we used did not include a statement from Spribe on the Brazilian case. The igamingexpert.com report on the inquiry said SBC had contacted Spribe and had no reply at the time.

™️ The Aviator trademark fight is about the name, not where you can play

Spribe is fighting Aviator LLC, a company linked to the former owner of Georgian casino Adjarabet, over who owns the Aviator name. Georgia’s Supreme Court dismissed Spribe’s appeal on 20 May 2025, backing Aviator LLC. A UK High Court injunction of 31 July 2025 stops Aviator LLC offering its own Aviator Studio crash game to UK players. A Curaçao court struck out two Aviator LLC trademarks on 25 May 2026. A full UK trial is expected in late 2026 or early 2027.

None of these rulings removed Spribe’s Aviator from a country. The UK and Swedish cases above are about licences, and the Brazilian case is about illegal sites. The name fight matters more for copies: Aviator LLC’s game uses the same name, so check the studio name on the lobby tile before you play.

Spribe’s founder David Natroshvili has said Spribe “created the Aviator crash game in 2018 and is the sole owner”, according to iGaming Business. Aviator LLC told the same outlet it “does not intend to launch a competing crash game in the UK”. The Curaçao ruling is covered by Next.io. Our Spribe page has the full court timeline.

🗺️ Where Aviator stands in each of these markets

Of the four markets in the news, only India bans real-money Aviator outright. In the UK, Spribe’s licence is back but Next.io reported on 2 April 2026 that Aviator was still not live with UK operators. In Sweden, Spribe got a warning and a 5,000 kronor fine, not a suspension. In Brazil, a September 2026 court order targets Aviator on illegal sites, not licensed ones.

✅ A missing Aviator is not a rigged Aviator

None of the UK, Swedish or Brazilian actions found that Spribe’s Aviator is rigged. The UK case was about a host licence. The Swedish case was about games reaching unlicensed sites. The Brazilian inquiry looks at the RTP shown on illegal sites, not on licensed ones. Spribe’s Aviator runs at a published 97% RTP and seals each crash point with a hash before the round starts.

  • Check the provider name. Spribe’s Aviator shows Spribe on the lobby tile and in the game menu. Copies use the same name and plane.
  • Check the RTP in the rules. Spribe’s game shows 97%. A different figure means a different game or build.
  • Check the fairness menu. Spribe’s Aviator has a provably fair menu with the server seed hash. Our Is Aviator Rigged? guide shows how to use it.
  • Ignore “Aviator is back” apps. Spribe does not publish a standalone Aviator app. Our predictor guide covers the fake ones.

❓ Frequently asked questions

Why was Aviator suspended in the UK?

The UK Gambling Commission suspended Spribe’s licence on 30 October 2025 because Spribe hosted games on its own servers without a host licence. The suspension was lifted on 30 March 2026, but Next.io reported on 2 April 2026 that Aviator was still not live with UK operators.

Is Aviator banned in Sweden?

No ban was reported. Spelinspektionen gave Spribe a warning and a 5,000 kronor fine, reported on 4 March 2026, because its games reached unlicensed sites.

Is Aviator banned in Brazil?

Not on licensed sites. Prosecutors opened a civil inquiry into Spribe in June 2026, and in September 2026 a Brasília court ordered Spribe to block Aviator on illegal sites, with a R$100,000 daily fine if it does not.

Does the Aviator LLC trademark case mean Aviator is fake?

No. The case is about who owns the name. Spribe’s Aviator is the original, launched in 2019. Aviator LLC’s own crash game is a different game, and a UK court has blocked it from UK players.
