The 30-second version
The crash game that costs you less is the one with the higher RTP. Stake Crash, BC.Game Crash and Limbo pay back 99%, so they cost about $1 for every $100 you bet. Aviator pays back 97%, about $3 per $100. Spaceman runs at 95% to 96.5%, depending on the casino. Your cash out target changes how often you win, not what you lose on average. Pick two games above to see it play out.
💸 Stake Crash, BC.Game Crash and Limbo cost least: about $1 per $100 bet
The cheapest crash games we cover are Stake Crash, BC.Game Crash and Limbo, at a 99% RTP. That means they keep about $1 of every $100 you bet over time. Aviator by Spribe keeps about $3 at its 97% RTP. Spaceman by Pragmatic Play keeps $3.50 to $5, because casinos pick a setting from 95% to 96.5%. Big Bass Crash keeps about $4.50 at 95.5%.
99% games
$1 per $100
Aviator 97%
$3 per $100
Spaceman 95% to 96.5%
$3.50 to $5
Big Bass Crash 95.5%
$4.50 per $100
JetX 96.2% to 98.9%
$1.10 to $3.80
Chicken Road 98%
$2 per $100
Speed matters too. The tool uses 150 rounds an hour for Aviator. At $1 a round, that is $150 bet an hour, so 97% costs about $4.50 an hour and 99% about $1.50. A slow game like Cash or Crash, at about 50 rounds an hour, costs less per hour even at a similar RTP.

📊 How to read the head to head result: three numbers matter
The head to head result gives three numbers for each game: your chance of hitting your target, what a win pays after any cap, and the average cost. The chance of hitting your target is the game’s RTP divided by the target, so Aviator at 97% reaches 2x about 48.5 times in 100 and Stake Crash at 99% about 49.5 times. The average cost is what matters most over many rounds.
- ✅ Chance of your target. RTP divided by target. A 1 point gap in RTP moves your 2x chance by only half a point, so you will not notice it in a few rounds.
- ✅ What a win pays. Some games cap the cash you can win. JetX stops at $10,000 a bet, so a $5 bet at a 5,000x target pays $10,000, not $25,000. Zeppelin’s reported cap is about $30,000.
- ✅ Average cost. Stake times rounds times the house edge. $1 a round for 100 rounds costs about $3 at 97% and about $1 at 99%, whatever target you pick.
- ✅ The balance chart. This is one run of pretend rounds, so it shows luck as well as cost. Run it a few times before you judge.
📊 Your chance at 2x is always under 50%
The chance of hitting your target is the game’s RTP divided by the target.
Say a game pays back 97%. Your chance of reaching 2x is 97 divided by 2. That is 48.5%. It is always a little under a coin flip. That gap is how the game makes money.
Set a higher target and your chance drops. At 10x, the same game gives you a 9.7% chance.
The average cost works a different way. It does not change when you move your target. It only changes with two things:
- The RTP. A lower RTP costs more.
- The number of rounds. More rounds cost more.
So $1 a round for 100 rounds at 97% RTP costs about $3 on average. That is true at 2x, 5x or 50x.
💡 Key insight
Cash or Crash works differently. It is a slow live show with around 50 rounds an hour. So when you pick it, the tool compares cost per hour instead of cost per round. On Evolution’s safe line the RTP is 99.59%. If you chase the top rung, it falls to 94.51%.
⚠️ A short test run can go either way
A few dozen rounds can swing up or down a lot. One game can look like a winner and the other a loser, just by luck. Run it again and it may flip.
The average cost only shows up clearly over many rounds. Watch the balance chart as you add more rounds. The two lines slowly drift apart, and the game with the lower RTP drifts down faster.
Some games do not have one fixed RTP. The casino picks a setting from a range. This applies to:
- JetX
- Spaceman
- Cricket X
- Zeppelin
Your casino may run a lower setting than the tool uses. Open the info panel inside the game to see the real number before you play.
The bottom line: Your cash-out point changes how often you win and how much each win pays. It does not change what you lose on average. That comes down to the RTP and how many rounds you play. Check the RTP in the game before you start.
