Space XY Game Guide: RTP, Max Win and Is It Provably Fair?

Space XY is BGaming’s rocket-themed crash game: a multiplier climbs a coordinate grid from 1.00x and you cash out before the rocket explodes. It runs a 97% RTP with a 10,000x maximum multiplier, and despite what many sites claim, it is certified-RNG, not provably fair.

If you are new to the format, our guide on what crash gambling is covers the basics. Space XY is a fairly standard crash game wrapped in a distinctive minimalist look, built by BGaming as its answer to Spribe’s Aviator.

This guide pulls the real numbers from BGaming’s own data: the RTP, the max-win cap that quietly limits that headline 10,000x, the round timing, the feature set, and the fairness model that is widely reported wrongly across the niche.

The 30-second version

Space XY is BGaming’s flagship crash game, released in January 2022, with a 3% house edge and a hard payout cap that limits its top multiplier. It offers dual betting, auto-cashout and autoplay on a clean coordinate-grid display. The one fact most guides get wrong: Space XY is certified-RNG only, not provably fair.

🏢 Who makes Space XY

Space XY is made by BGaming, the in-house games studio of SOFTSWISS. BGaming is now headquartered in Malta, operating as Stable Games Ltd, and holds a B2B critical gaming supply licence from the Malta Gaming Authority alongside Curacao, Greek and Romanian supplier licences.

Its games run on a random number generator certified by iTech Labs and BMM Testlabs, and the company is ISO/IEC 27001 certified. By SlotCatalog’s conservative count, BGaming has over 225 games live at more than 1,600 casinos, with crash titles including Space XY, Dragon’s Crash and Top Eagle.

⚡ How Space XY works

A round of Space XY runs in four stages. The rocket is plotted on a coordinate grid, where the X-axis tracks flight time and the Y-axis tracks the multiplier.

1

The bet window

A short window before launch in which you set your stake or stakes and place your bet. You can run one or two bets at once.

2

Launch

The rocket lifts from the origin and the multiplier starts climbing in real time along the trajectory.

3

Cash out

Collect manually at the multiplier you want, or let auto-cashout trigger automatically at a target you set in advance.

4

The explosion

If you have not cashed out by the time the rocket explodes, the stake is lost. Each round resolves in roughly 5 to 20 seconds.

📊 RTP, house edge and the maths

Space XY publishes a default RTP of 97%, which leaves a house edge of about 3%. Each target’s probability comes straight from dividing that RTP by the multiplier, which is how the table below is built.

Target multiplier Chance of reaching it Roughly
1.00x (instant crash) about 3% equals the house edge
1.5x 64.7% about 2 in 3
2x 48.5% about 1 in 2
5x 19.4% about 1 in 5
10x 9.7% about 1 in 10
100x 0.97% about 1 in 103
1,000x 0.097% about 1 in 1,031
10,000x 0.0097% about 1 in 10,309

You will sometimes see Space XY’s RTP quoted as a range, around 96.88% to 98.92%. That range reflects different cash-out strategies, not a way to raise your real return and not operator-set tiers. The base RTP is unchanged, so check the figure shown in your casino’s in-game info panel rather than assuming a number.

“No cash-out target beats the house edge. You only ever trade how often you win for how much you win.”

That is the core of crash maths. No cash-out target beats the house edge. You only ever trade how often you win for how much you win. We work through the full proof, including variance and risk of ruin, in our crash gambling maths guide.

⚠️ The 10,000x ceiling has a hidden cap

The 10,000x maximum multiplier is real, but it sits behind a hard payout cap of 250,000 in your account currency. The moment your stake passes about 25 units, you can no longer realise the full 10,000x, because the cap bites first.

Your stake Payout cap Effective max multiplier
25 250,000 10,000x (full)
50 250,000 5,000x
100 250,000 2,500x

⚠️ Important

Chasing the advertised top multiplier at a high stake is a trap. At a stake of 100, your true ceiling is 2,500x, because the 250,000 cap is reached first. The big multiplier is only fully available to small-stake players.

⚙️ Features and how to play

Space XY keeps its feature set focused. Stakes run from about 0.10 to 100 per panel depending on currency, and it supports fiat plus crypto, with a crypto-first lean (BTC, ETH, LTC, DOGE, USDT, XRP).

🎯 Dual bet

Two independent stakes with separate cash-out targets in the same round, combining to roughly 200 per round. Handy for banking one bet early and letting the other ride.

🤖 Auto-cashout and autoplay

Set an exact multiplier at which the game collects for you, and run autoplay across long sequences of rounds without manual input. Useful for a hands-off, consistent approach.

📐 Minimalist coordinate-grid display

The rocket climbs a clean X and Y grid with a live leaderboard and round-history stats, but no chat. There are no paytables, bonus rounds or free spins, this is a pure crash game.

🛡️ Is Space XY provably fair?

No. This is the single most misreported fact about the game. Space XY is certified-RNG only, tested by iTech Labs and BMM Testlabs, and it is not provably fair.

BGaming does run a provably-fair programme, using a commit-reveal model over SHA-256 with a player client seed. But that programme covers its roulette, card and slot titles, and its verifiable crash games are Dragon’s Crash, Top Eagle and Heads and Tails XY. Space XY is not on that list, and BGaming’s own game page describes it only as governed by certified RNG protocols.

🔍 Worth noting

Many crash guides state that Space XY uses a SHA-256 two-seed provably-fair system. That description actually belongs to other games, including Spribe’s Aviator. There is no player-side cryptographic verification for a Space XY round.

In practice this means you are trusting independent lab certification rather than verifying each result yourself. That is the standard model for most online slots, but it is a genuine step down in transparency from the genuinely verifiable crash games. For how player-side verification works when a game does offer it, see our provably fair explained guide.

⚠️ Scam alert: Apps and signal services that claim to predict Space XY crash points are scams. A certified RNG produces independent results that cannot be forecast, so any predictor is selling you noise, and many are outright malware. We break down the full scam ecosystem in our guide to crash game predictor scams.

The fast, repeatable rounds that make crash games engaging are also what makes them risky for some players. Our dedicated guide looks at the harm evidence, who is most at risk and how regulators are responding: crash gambling and player harm.

🏆 How Space XY compares

Space XY sits between Aviator and Spaceman, the two crash games it is most often measured against. It wins on max multiplier, loses on transparency, and trades blows on everything else.

Feature Space XY Aviator Spaceman Best
Studio BGaming Spribe Pragmatic Play
RTP 97% 97% 96.5% 🏆 Space XY
Max multiplier 10,000x Lower, operator-dependent 5,000x 🏆 Space XY
Max win cap 250,000 Operator-dependent 500,000 🏆 Spaceman
Provably fair No (certified RNG) Yes Yes 🏆 Aviator, Spaceman
Bet structure Dual bet Dual bet Single bet
Partial cashout No No Yes (50%) 🏆 Spaceman

Availability is solid but not universal. Space XY runs across the SOFTSWISS network and major crypto casinos, and catalogue scans place it in around 47 countries, though it is absent from New-Jersey-licensed US sites. You can see how it sits against the rest of the field in our crash games directory.

📝 For the record: Aviator’s published maximum multiplier varies widely between sources, so we show it as operator-dependent rather than print a contested single figure.

💡 Common mistakes to avoid

Most Space XY losses that feel avoidable come down to three habits. Knowing them will not change the edge, but it will stop you handing the house more than it is already owed.

  • Chasing the top multiplier at a big stake. The cap means high stakes can never reach the headline multiplier. Keep stakes small if the giant multiplier is the point.
  • Reading the round history as a pattern. Every round is independent. A run of low crashes does not make a high one due, and the trajectory shape predicts nothing.
  • Trusting predictor apps. They cannot work against a certified RNG, they breach the casino terms, and many are malware.

❓ Frequently asked questions

What is the RTP of Space XY?

Space XY has a default RTP of 97%, leaving a house edge of about 3%. You may see a 96.88% to 98.92% range quoted, but that reflects cash-out strategy rather than a variable base RTP, so the theoretical figure stays at 97%.

Is Space XY provably fair?

No. Space XY is certified-RNG only, tested by iTech Labs and BMM Testlabs. BGaming runs a provably-fair programme for some of its games, but Space XY is not one of them, despite many guides claiming otherwise.

What is the maximum win on Space XY?

The maximum multiplier is 10,000x, capped at 250,000 in your account currency. Because of that cap, stakes above about 25 cannot reach the full 10,000x, for example a stake of 100 is limited to an effective 2,500x.

When was Space XY released and who makes it?

Space XY was released on 13 January 2022 by BGaming, the in-house games studio of SOFTSWISS. BGaming is licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority among other regulators.

Can you predict Space XY crash points?

No. A certified RNG produces independent results, so no app or signal service can forecast them. Any tool claiming to predict Space XY is a scam, and many distribute malware.

How does Space XY compare to Aviator and Spaceman?

Space XY shares Aviator’s 97% RTP and dual betting but tops both on max multiplier at 10,000x. Spaceman has a higher win cap at 500,000 and offers partial cashout, while both Aviator and Spaceman are provably fair where Space XY is not.
